Humantay Lake is one of the most impressive natural destinations in Cusco and a must-stop for those seeking a direct contact experience with nature. This full day tour begins very early with a hotel pickup in Cusco, followed by a journey to the village of Mollepata, where an energizing buffet breakfast is enjoyed.
The journey then continues to Soraypampa, the starting point of the trek, located at over 3800 m.a.s.l., surrounded by imposing snow-capped peaks such as Salkantay and Humantay. From there, a hike of approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes begins, passing through mountain landscapes, valleys and Andean wildlife.
Upon reaching Humantay Lake, situated at 4200 m.a.s.l., its characteristic turquoise color can be admired, the result of minerals and glacial melt. Here, the guide shares information about its cultural and spiritual significance in the Andean worldview. Free time is available to rest, take photographs and enjoy the natural surroundings.
After this experience, the descent begins towards Soraypampa to return to Mollepata, where a buffet lunch is served. Finally, the tour concludes with the return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m.
